Corrected, typewritten draft of Clem Adelman's section of the report on “How the Research was Conducted” containing details of how classroom observation was organised and the questions that were emerging, as well as the concerns on the part of staff about the intentions of the team. Later than, but substantially the same as, Document 153 (CARE 1-12-004).
A draft from May 1982 of a section of the final report "Limitations of the Case Study", part of which appeared as the final section of the book of the project. An important point that is made is that the team saw themselves not as writing a 'case study of the school' but of 'the issues and conditions of bilingual teaching', and this distinction was not appreciated by school staff.
Draft of part of the conclusion to the Final Report describing the organisation of learning at Rafael Hernandaez School and the role of bilingual instruction through the grades of the school. Written by Saville Kushner in 1982.
Heavily hand-edited version of the "First Impressions" section of the report, with additional fieldnotes appended. Undated but seems to be an intermediate version between the first fieldnotes from 1979 (Document 114) and the revised versions (Documents 81, 82 and 83)
Some first impressions at Rafael Hernandez School, dated 16.09.79, typescript, then highly annotated. Based on his fieldwork and observations at Rafael Hernandez School in late October 1979, these evolved into his sections, "First Impressions", "The Organisation of the School" and "A Day with the Principal" and reappear in the interim and final reports.
Bibliography of 16 pages for the final report. No names attached but, based on annotations, it seems to have been compiled by at least two of the researchers and no date but it seems to have been done in 1981 or 1982 as preparation for the final report and book.
Report to the funders of the project (the Ford Foundation) reporting on the progress made in writing up the report and proposing a dissemination strategy
