Letter from Saville Kushner to Rob Walker, who was at Monash at the time, about rewriting parts of the report. the main reason for writing was to ask to whom Walker had given some photographs
A Second draft of Saville Kushner's section of the report on Designs, Methods and Performances. It differs from the previous version in that (among other things), it adds more detail to the project chronology, and also relates the 'condensed fieldwork' used in the evaluation to Ethnography and Portrayal approaches.
Saville Kushner's notes arising from discussions with in Boston in 1980, after the presentation of the Interim report. These highlight some of the contentious issues which had arisen and areas in which the staff felt they had been misrepresented or the CARE team had misinterpreted what they had observed. Undated, but from April 1980 when Kushner and MacDonald returned to Boston.
Note from Saville Kushner listing three items that have been omitted from the case study but which might be included in the conclusion: undated, but probably 1982
Draft of part of the conclusion to the Final Report describing the organisation of learning at Rafael Hernandaez School and the role of bilingual instruction through the grades of the school. Written by Saville Kushner in 1982.
Heavily hand-edited version of the "First Impressions" section of the report, with additional fieldnotes appended. Undated but seems to be an intermediate version between the first fieldnotes from 1979 (Document 114) and the revised versions (Documents 81, 82 and 83)
A typed list of "to do" notes on Final Report from Rob Walker to Barry MacDonald, Saville Kushner and Clem Adelman, with particular detail for Section Three of the report
Handwritten notes (in an examination book) with a series of questions and discussion points about case study focused on bilingual schooling. Headings are "The Problem of Generalising from the Case" and "Bilingual Schooling - a checklist of questions", further divided into: "The Context", "Assignment", "Scheduling", "Curriculum Organisation", "Pedagogy/Learning" and "Social Relations". This does not refer explicitly to Rafael Hernandaez School – it is more a of an 'abstraction' from the case, and could be applied to other case studies.
Notes on work, names, addresses, telephone numbers, with brief diary note written on 30 September 1979, all over 8 pages - this appears to have been written between September and October 1979 during Rob Walker's initial visit to Boston.
